All of you are a piece of the puzzle, not only for this class, but for our environment as well! It’s up to you to make Earth a better place for generations to come.
hIn the puzzle piece include the following:
-5 images of things that describe who you are as a person- for example, likes/dislikes
-Include 1 image of what you think the largest environmental impact is that we’re facing as a society is. With the image provide a short explanation.
**Make your puzzle piece visually appealing and include color! No white space.
Day 4 (2/3):
ACAD
-Take a few minutes to complete NC Road Map from yesterday or work on puzzle piece.
-Volcano Topographic Map Lab (with water tanks)
Questions for Map Lab:
Describe the general shape of the contour lines.
What general statement can be made about the closeness of the contour lines and the steepness of slope?
Describe how the solidified lava flows affected the pattern of contour lines.
How would a steep valley down the side of the volcano change the contour pattern?
Would it be possible to distinguish a basin from a mountain on a topographic map?
